Another task off the bucket list

This morning I got up before dawn at 4:15 (which was a struggle hahaha) and went down to the local beach to check out the sunrise which i suddenly thought of doing the previous night :) I had pre-prepared my breakfast so I would wake anyone up in the morning then I snuck around the back of the house while trying not to stand on any toads then I jumped in the car and drove myself to the local beach! however little did I know that I was on the wrong side of the hill to see the sun come over the water but I saw it come over the hill which was just as beautiful except for the fact it was cloudy but i still loved it! haha then I took myself for a swim and at that time of the morning there are only old 80+ people swimming so I was surrounded, but there were some lifesaver training goin on, so that gave me something to look at ;) but if you ever get the chance to see the sunrise or sunset DO IT!!!

Timeless Waves

So yesterday I bought velcro rollers in a pack of 12 and I was a bit iffy as to if they would actually work. So this morning I rolled them into my hair and re-enforced them with bobby pins, I also only used 8 of the rollers cause my hair is so thin. I left them in for 40 minutes and during that time I got a hair dryer of went over all the rollers to just set the waves in with minor heat.
The velcro grips to your hair, however I need bobby pins to help support it

When you first take them out your can be fairly fluffy so you need to brush it down lighty so that you dont brush all the work away. So this is what the waves look like at first without heavy brushing.
As you can see the hair is still a bit fluffy in the top layers from the velcro but with a bit further brushing you get a beautiful wave like so.......

So there you have it folks! I should do a video further describing it in the furture detail sometime as well xx

    Braces Are Off!

On a side note haha I got my braces off! YAY!! but before you all get to excited, its only for 2 weeks because in those 2 weeks I had formal, graduation and schoolies which was a big picture taking time. For alot of you, you dont know that I have had 9 years of orthodontic work done to my teeth. Before any of the treatment my teeth were extremely terrible with a narrow jaw, an underbite, crowded teeth and the K9's in a place the werent meant to be. Although I am getting them back on tomorrow actually, its only gonna be for another 4 -6 months (well thats my judgment anyway haha) There have been alot of blood and tears of my teeth but at the end its all gonna be worth it :) And for anyone out there that has had a similar experience as me, I just want you to know that it will all be soo worth it in the end and just think of the million dollor smile that your gonna have <3 xx

    My Schoolies 2011

The day after my formal I had to get up at 5:00am to get on a flight to airlie beach which is where I would spend 1 week of my schooleis :D When me and my other 2 friends arrived at our desination it was a really dead atmosphere however when it hit night time the town came ALIVE! So as our balcony was surrounded by scary drunks when got ready to go out to our first schoolies party!
Im not gonna lie when we when to the bus stop it was very intimadating to see alot of drunk guys staring at you, but none the less we carried on to a 'Red Frogs' party where we had a real schooleis encounter.....a freakin butt grab! hahaha but once again we carried on a met some really nice people that were a joy to chat to :) But becuase we were so tired we went home for an early night at appeared so pathetic by having a 9:30 bed time that night haha. The next day we explore the sights of airlie beach and caught buses around the place.
In the time that we were walking around we got a golden tan really easily IT WAS GREAT!! We even stocked up on food at the local coles! but we had to choose wisely as we only had a kettle and fridge in our room. So needless to say that 2 minute noodles were the best option :)
Through out our time spent at schoolies we woke up looking like the picture of health *cough cough* with eye bags and all haha Along with lack of sleep and nutrition you can say that me and my friends went a bit insane haha

But unlike most people on schoolies we didnt need alchol to have fun, all we needed were alot of energy drinks that we pretended where alcholic drinks haha which seemed fun at the time but looking back it seemed pretty pathetic haha

As the week went on we attended a B&S Ball which we had to dress up pretty fancy for but in the end we were over dressed haha we all wore heals which gave everyone bad blisters by the end of the night!

Overall schoolies was an amazing experience and was an eye opener to the world that I enter after schoolies. Wow that was deep haha but i totally reccommend schoolies to any school leaver as its sooo much fun and you meet soo many people and even if you are socially awkward like me you will still meet soo many amazing people! xx

    Grade 12 School Formal!

After a whole year waiting for this event it has finally been and gone faster than you can say finished (well not really haha) For those of you who have watched my videos from the beginning you would of seen the bag that my dress was in. It had been sitting there for almost 12 months just waiting to be worn. The preparation of the formal took alot of time and money. As a result I am now broke haha. Appoximately 3 months before the formal I ate very healthy and drank heaps and heaps of water to make sure that my skin would be up to all the pictures it was about to have done. When I say eatting healthy i mean cutting down on sour lollies (im additcted to them! so i went through withdrawls haha), chips and other junk and said hello to fruit and vegetables. I also did a bit a research to find out what is the best fruit and vegetables that can limit achne and I found that pineapple, carrots and passionfruit was most benifical. I also tried various organic facials and I loved the honey and salt exfolient mask. It involved simply mixing honey and salt and leaving it on a clean face for 20 minutes. From all the preparation i noticed a possitive change in the appears of my acne YAY!!!
The night before the formal i mositureised my skin so it would be hydrated and glowing and did a bit of backyard tanning it get a tad bronzed. BUT DONT STAY IN THE SUN TOO LONG OR YOU WILL GET BURNT!! Then on the morning or the formal I painted my finger nails as well as my toe nails. Once 12pm struck it was all action stations i went to the hairdresses and got my hair done which cost $70 and took 1 hour.
Then came home and did my own make-up that planned the night before using blue and browns.

I Then put on my dress, shoes and accessories then met everyone outside my house to then got in a stretch hummer :D

The formal itself was a lovely way to end 12 years of schooling, the food was amazing and the people that i graduated with I will miss dearly!
Some advice that I would give to people buying formal dresses:
    • Go in the sales to get the price marked down
    • If its slighty too big or too small you can get it altered at a dressmaker so dont be put off my the sizing
    • Is it something that you can wear again? can it be altered to become a after 5pm dress

Advice for people doing their own make-up:
    • More is less! natural beauty is the best beauty there is
    • Trial a few foundations a could months before so if one does make you break out your skin has time to recover
    • Stick to the colours of your dress to make it all match together
    • Take a picture with your entire make-up on in the trialing period so you know what it will look like on camera

Other that that check out the rest of the photos! :D
