Grade 12 School Formal!

After a whole year waiting for this event it has finally been and gone faster than you can say finished (well not really haha) For those of you who have watched my videos from the beginning you would of seen the bag that my dress was in. It had been sitting there for almost 12 months just waiting to be worn. The preparation of the formal took alot of time and money. As a result I am now broke haha. Appoximately 3 months before the formal I ate very healthy and drank heaps and heaps of water to make sure that my skin would be up to all the pictures it was about to have done. When I say eatting healthy i mean cutting down on sour lollies (im additcted to them! so i went through withdrawls haha), chips and other junk and said hello to fruit and vegetables. I also did a bit a research to find out what is the best fruit and vegetables that can limit achne and I found that pineapple, carrots and passionfruit was most benifical. I also tried various organic facials and I loved the honey and salt exfolient mask. It involved simply mixing honey and salt and leaving it on a clean face for 20 minutes. From all the preparation i noticed a possitive change in the appears of my acne YAY!!!
The night before the formal i mositureised my skin so it would be hydrated and glowing and did a bit of backyard tanning it get a tad bronzed. BUT DONT STAY IN THE SUN TOO LONG OR YOU WILL GET BURNT!! Then on the morning or the formal I painted my finger nails as well as my toe nails. Once 12pm struck it was all action stations i went to the hairdresses and got my hair done which cost $70 and took 1 hour.
Then came home and did my own make-up that planned the night before using blue and browns.

I Then put on my dress, shoes and accessories then met everyone outside my house to then got in a stretch hummer :D

The formal itself was a lovely way to end 12 years of schooling, the food was amazing and the people that i graduated with I will miss dearly!
Some advice that I would give to people buying formal dresses:
  • Go in the sales to get the price marked down
  • If its slighty too big or too small you can get it altered at a dressmaker so dont be put off my the sizing
  • Is it something that you can wear again? can it be altered to become a after 5pm dress

Advice for people doing their own make-up:
  • More is less! natural beauty is the best beauty there is
  • Trial a few foundations a could months before so if one does make you break out your skin has time to recover
  • Stick to the colours of your dress to make it all match together
  • Take a picture with your entire make-up on in the trialing period so you know what it will look like on camera

Other that that check out the rest of the photos! :D
